WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP) - Franz Wagner had 28 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while rookie Anthony Black scored a career-high 23 points as the Orlando Magic defeated the Washington Wizards 127-119 on Tuesday night.
The Magic (20-23) snapped a two-game losing streak and moved within 2.5 games of the .500 mark. The Wizards (19-26) lost their third straight and have dropped six of their last eight.
Wagner, who was 10-of-17 from the field, scored 11 of his points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of 3-pointers. Black, who was 8-of-14 from the field, scored 15 of his points in the second half.
Paolo Banchero added 18 points for the Magic, while Mo Bamba had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kyle Kuzma led the Wizards with 25 points, followed by Bradley Beal with 21 points and Kristaps Porzingis with 19 points.
The Magic led by five points at halftime and extended their lead to 97-83 after three quarters. The Wizards cut the deficit to 10 points with 7:39 remaining, but Wagner's 3-pointer with 5:42 left pushed the lead back to 13.
The Magic made 10 3-pointers in the game, compared to just four for the Wizards. Orlando also outrebounded Washington 48-39.
The two teams will meet again in Orlando on March 7.
