76ers Finish Regular Season Strong
Philadelphia Locks Up Number One Seed
49-23 Record Sets Franchise Record
The Philadelphia 76ers have finished the regular season with a 49-23 record, clinching the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. The 76ers set a new franchise record for wins in a season, surpassing the previous record of 48-34 set in the 2000-01 season.
The 76ers were led by MVP candidate Joel Embiid, who averaged 31.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. Embiid was joined in the starting lineup by Tyrese Maxey, James Harden, Tobias Harris, and P.J. Tucker. The 76ers also received strong contributions from their bench, led by Georges Niang, Shake Milton, and Montrezl Harrell.
The 76ers will open the playoffs at home against the eighth-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers. The 76ers are looking to make a deep playoff run this year and contend for their first NBA championship since 1983.
